Last Saturday night I went to see Bruce Springsteen. A close friend of mine has a brother in the band and he got me tickets (LA kind of runs like that). It was extraordinary. Really. Read more
What is style, anyway? Who has it and how do you get it?
I think style is a reflection of who you are…deep down in your soul. Style is an expression. It’s what you want to show to the world. And I believe that style can (and should) be anything you want it to be. Read more
“Congratulations, you’re in the top 1%!”
I just stood there. “Wow,” I said. I continued to just stand there; not because I was reveling in my top 1%-ness but because I had just taken out my contacts and this always places me in a very vulnerable state. “Yep,” he went on, “the top 1% of bad eyesight.”
“Great,’ I replied as I fumbled to feel my way to the ‘eye doctor chair’ so he could place all sorts of devices in front of my fabulously flawed eyes. Read more
I am an actress and I have worked with many amazing artists – Jamie Lee Curtis on Anything But Love, Ellen DeGeneres on Ellen, Tom Hanks in The Taming of the Shrew at a Shakespeare Festival, Denis O’Hare in a play called Lloyd’s Prayer, Amy Morton in a play called Road – but I am perhaps best known for playing Aunt Judy in the Disney Channel movies, Zenon, Girl of the 21st Century.

And it is pretty dazzling isn’t it? I mean, Helen Mirren’s necklace alone took my breath away (as did Helen, as she always does).
And, like the nerd I am, I am always thrilled to see individuals I know and have worked with. It makes me feel like I’m a part of it- sitting at home in my sweats with my dogs to the left and right of me. There was Jamie Lee Curtis (I worked with her on Anything But Love) looking stunning…showing the world how to be glamorous, hot, and rock that short hair. And then Tom Hanks (I worked with him at The Great Lakes Shakespeare Festival years ago when we were both interns). Read more
